Welcome to the Neil Armstrong Elementary School Library Online
Dear Eagles,
Congrats on an amazing school year... and happy summer! When I think of summer, I think of READING! Whether on the beach, sofa, or in your own backyard, summer is a perfect time to dive into great books. It is very important to keep reading during the summer!
I've put together a few ideas for expanding those summer reading adventures:
- For Eagles, By Eagles Student-Recommended Book List
- I have compiled an AMAZING list of student-recommended books for your summer reading! Why is this list so amazing you ask? Well, because each book in this list was recommended to you by a fellow Neil Armstrong Eagle! That's right... For Eagles, by Eagles! This list is a compilation of all of the book suggestions from either 'Book Buzz' or 'Book Talk Wall of Fame' (2nd-5th grades) in the NA Library during the spring semester. Take a look at the attached list; you may see some of your favorites and some soon-to-be favorites!

- Read Beyond the Beaten Path, Contra Costa County Library Summer Reading Program
- This summer, Read Beyond the Beaten Path! My kids and I would always love participating in the CCC Library's summer reading program. It's so fun! Beginning June 1st, you can pick up your summer reading passport while at the library, or participate online at https://ccclib.org/summer/. Everyone who completes the summer reading program wins prizes, including a free book, and is entered into a drawing for a chance to win more awesome prizes.
-
-
- June 1 - July 30
- 20 minutes of reading (or an approved activity) per paw print on the passport.
- Activities and events to help become one with nature, including a virtual bat program and a virtual hike with East Bay Parks.
- Starting June 22, you can return the completed passport to the library to receive a free book, a pin, and an entry into additional prize drawings.
